As soon as I met Shelly Alvarez, I could tell I was in good hands. She was so confident and knowledgeable. In addition she was very wonderful to work with and has a great personality. I went into Ethan Allen to buy living room furniture. As soon as she knew what kind of taste I had and the color scheme I was interested in, she showed me magnificent fabrics and furniture. When I decided on reupholstering my chaise lounge in a patterned fabric, my old fashioned self decided I need plain pillows with no patterns. I thought that patterned pillows would clash with the patterns on the lounge. She showed me a pillow with a pattern and I was hesitant. But she was absolutely right. The pillows look fabulous with the lounge. My new couch and my new chair and a half look fabulous with the chaise. Also I was unsure of the rug she proposed, but it also looks fabulous. I am extremely happy with my new living room look!! If you decide you need new furniture or reupholstering done, ask for Shelly. You will not be sorry! She can show pix of my furniture if you are interested.

Our family have enjoyed the quality of Ethan Allen furniture for years. As we move through homes and change styles … and now even apartments the furniture is always shining brightly and proudly due to new design but careful eyes to design. Each home has been serviced with care and continued dedication to the craftsmanship and salesmanship. Many pieces have been passed along. They still hold their quality and style. Thanks Ethan Allen.

I worked with Ruth Yankiver at Ethan Allen over the past several months in a redecoration of my entire apartment. I told her my favorite colors, and she prepared a presentation of alternatives for living, dining room and bedroom furniture that were perfect for me. Carmen Caceres is an excellent, patient, and thoughtful interior designer at Ethan Allen. I recently bought a sofa at Ethan Allen's Manhattan store and was lucky enough to be assisted by Carmen Caceres, an interior designer at the store. Ms. Caceres understood my needs and helped me choose the best sofa and most appropriate fabric for my living room. When I worried about my choice and questioned my judgment in choosing it, she listened to my concerns and kindly offered to view the sofa in my apartment to provide an expert opinion about its suitability. In the end, the couch and fabric which she recommended turned out to be just right.

I ordered 2 Thomas dining armchairs from Ethan Allen. The designer I worked with was Carmen Caceres in NYC. Her help and expertise were invaluable. She helped me find the perfect fabric for the chairs, a light gray pin stripe. They look beautiful. I was very pleased with the help I received. Carmen was a pleasure to work with. and her knowledge and professionalism were outstanding. Wonderful experience.

This was the first time I visited Ethan Allen on Lexington Ave., NYC. A dream come true! I was in the market for a recliner and other living room items. Ruth, my designer gave me good ideas and suggestions. She walked me through the process. The Recliner, Ottoman, Cushions & Coffee Table I love and will treasure forever. Renee contacted me when to expect delivery. The delivery gentlemen called they were on their way - arrived on time. They assembled, set-up & cleaned up. They were knowledgeable & professional. Sandra Diaz was very patient, supportive, and helpful for me when I was looking for new living room furniture. It was a long process for me, because I really had a hard time deciding which fabrics I wanted to use. Sandra stuck with me through it all, offering to help but on my schedule. She seemed to have a good designer's eye, which helped me have confidence in what I decided. She helped work through some of the quirky requirements I had, giving me suggestions that met my needs. She really was so patient and helpful. Now, I finally have a refreshed living room. Thank you to Sandra.

I was an Ethan Allen customer 40 years ago. I just came back for some major new pieces - a queen sleep sofa, a new club chair and two reupholsteries. If it was great back then, it’s even better now. High-quality custom work at reasonable prices. Ruthi Yankiver at the Manhattan location was instrumental in my satisfaction. She helped me select the pieces and the fabrics; her decorating instincts are spot on. I just had the sofa and club chair delivered and I couldn’t be happier. The products and the customer service, including delivery, are outstanding.
